Mount Union borough

Floodwaters, 1936

The St. Patrick's Day Flood of March 1936 put water where the town stood. Streets became rivers, buildings became obstacles, and the disaster was so severe that Congress acted, the Flood Control Act of 1936 was a direct response to this flood and others.
